Then come into BioWheels for all your commuter bike needs. We have new bikes starting at $379 along with all the accessories you need to make a bicycle into an ideal mode of transportation - racks, bags, lights, bells, fenders, locks, tune-ups...and don't forget a helmet! BioWheels Group Rides - are underway! Join us on the Road Wednesdays @ 6:00: casual-intermediate to advanced levels split into 2 groups for about a 2-hour ride. Meet at BioWheels.
GearHeads - BioWheels is stoked to be a sponsor, presenter and exhibitor at this first annual gear swap & expo at the WNC Agricultural Center. Join us this weekend, April 25 & 26 for activities and outdoor equipment galore! Visit GearHeads online for all the details. Kids Bicycle Rodeo - This Sunday in Biltmore Village, April 26th. The event begins at 12:30 PM. Bring your children that can already ride on two wheels to learn about riding in an urban environment. We will be setting up in the Wachovia Bank parking lot and the little street that runs from the church behind the bank. This event includes, helmet fitting & bike safety check (by BioWheels) and teaches basic handling skills including signalling & presence of mind. Asheville Time Trial Series - BioWheels has joined forces with the Asheville Bicycle Racing Club (A.B.R.C.) to promote the popular 4-race-series on the French Broad River. The first event is Thursday, April 23 @ 6:00pm. They will continue on May 21, June 18, August 27. Check the ABRC web link above, or come into BioWheels for a registration flyer. French Broad River Fest Mtn Bike Race - Join BioWheels & Asheville on Bikes Saturday May 2nd for a fun and cheap mountain bike race during the 12th annual Festival in Hot Springs, NC. There are $cash prizes$ for open men, open women and single speed classes. If you're new to racing, try the soft-core class and enjoy the music, food and beer while you're there. Get all the festival information & race registration online. 2nd Annual 'Wheel Ride For Food' - Last year's event set the standard for Asheville-based road rides. This terrrific charity ride is part of Asheville's Mountain Sports Festival. Full information can be found here.
